Any Mensa member and their +1 above is welcome at MY-Event. You must be at least 18 years old on the starting day of camp.
There is no upper age limit. Most campers are in their 20s and early 30s, but we have quite a few young-at-heart people who still roll with the youngsters and have a great time.
The +1s have to create an account and sign up in the same way as members. You will have to give them the secret word for registration, and they should put your name in the membership id field.
We only sell full camp stays. That said, if you find someone to split your camp stay with (e.g. you want to come for the first 3 nights and the other person for the rest of the event), that could potentially be arranged. Please contact us at # to discuss the options.
We do not allow outside stays, nor are there really any other venues nearby for you to book. In any case, daily commuting doesn't fit well with the camp spirit.

We try our best to keep prices reasonable, and our cheapest spots are under €300! But we all have our own stories, and we don’t all have a wealthy immortal family to sponsor us.
This is why we created the MY-Angel Fund. This is where generous souls can offer donations, and those in need can ask for it. You can get up to €50 from the Angel Fund, no questions asked. Alternatively, if your workplace offers reimbursements for events or conferences, talk to the organizers about getting a certificate of attendance. Some campers have had their entire stay financed this way!
Sure, simply send an email to #. If you cancel by June 7 at 23:59 UTC, you will receive a full refund. We cannot guarantee refunds after that time, unless somebody from the waiting list takes your place.
Your money will be refunded to your MY-account and can be used for further events. If you want to be refunded to your bank account, please send an email to treasurer@my-f.org with your IBAN.
Travel: EU citizens can travel to the UK visa-free, however since recently it is mandatory to have a passport 🛂. You will not be able to enter the UK on your national ID card!
Energy ⚡🔌: The electrical sockets in the UK are of the unique type G, so please bring an adapter with you if you need one! While the sockets here have the same supply of 230V/50Hz as in European countries, please do not attempt plugging EU plugs into UK sockets, as you can damage one of them or both.
Smoking/drinking: Smoking tobacco and vaping are illegal in most enclosed public places. Drinking in public is generally legal, as long as it's not disruptive. Possession of non-medical marihuana is illegal in the UK, although it's rarely enforced if it's deemed for personal use.
Roads: In the UK cars drive on the left side of the road. The drink drive limit in England is 80mg per 100ml of blood. Traffic rules are very strict for drivers (cameras are everywhere!). Common tourist traps are bus lanes (marked with a yellow frame) and bus-only roads - fined 45-90 pounds. On the other hand, it's rather easy for those on foot. You needn't search for a zebra or wait for the green light to cross the street, but (of course) if you cause an accident, that's on you, so always look both ways first!
